There will be a Christmas Day Lunch at St Thomas’ again this year for anyone who may be on his or her own. We ask for a £5 deposit at time of booking however this will be returned to you after the meal.

THANK YOU!! With all your help, love and prayers a grand total of 83 shoeboxes were filled this morning for Operation Christmas Child UK. In addition, we received another 94 shoeboxes from 6 local groups which we will transport 🚚 to Wrexham distribution centre for onward travel ✈️ to children 👦🏼👧🏽 all over the world. To them, a simple filled shoebox

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Due to a last-minute and unforeseen changes, our shoeboxes need to be at the distribution centre earlier than first planned. We will now be packing our shoeboxes next Sunday morning (20th November) and this will also be the last date people can drop off filled shoeboxes for onward transportation.

St Thomas’s Church – Denbigh has officially launched its 2016 campaign for Samaritan’s Purse UK Operation Christmas Child UK.
We will be packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child on the morning of Sunday 27th November but we really need to start collecting items now. Here’s a guide on what is safe and permitted. Let’s make 2016 the best year yet and give the gift of joy to so many children across the world.
GIFT SUGGESTIONS
TOYS:
Include items that children will love such as dolls, toy trucks, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, skipping ropes, balls, toys that light up and make noise (with extra batteries), etc.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES:
Pens, pencils and sharpeners, crayons or markers, stamps and ink pad sets, writing pads or paper, solar calculators, colouring and picture books, sticker sheets etc.
HYGIENE ITEMS:
Toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, comb, flannel, etc.
OTHER:
Baseball caps, sunglasses, hair clips, toy jewellery, solar watches, wind-up torches, scarf & gloves, wrapped sweets (Best Before Date of at least March the following year).
A PERSONAL NOTE:
You may enclose a note to the child and a photo of yourself or your family.
DO NOT INCLUDE
Used or damaged items, war-related items such as toy guns, knives or military figures, chocolate or food, liquids or lotions, medicines, hand made or knitted stuffed toys, playing cards of the 4-suit variety, breakable items such as glass containers, aerosol cans, clothing or items of a political, racial or religious nature.

St Thomas’s Church – Denbigh will be opening its doors as part of the Drysau Agored Sir Ddinbych – Open Doors Denbighshire event on Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th September. Please come and visit us where there will be beautiful displays and activities with refreshments being served.
We welcome all cyclists, fans and visitors to #Denbigh for The Tour Of Britain on Wednesday 7th September 2016! St Thomas’s Church – Denbigh will be opening its doors between 9am and 12noon and proving FREE, tea, coffee and juice. Come and say hello and enjoy a brew on us!
